While taking my friend for her birthday on a whale watching cruise, we finally had hit the area the captain had advised us that we should start to see some whales breaching the water and making their dives out of the water and back in. As the Captain shut the engines off and let the boat drift in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, it was not like the inlet of the Atlantic Ocean when we left the Brooklyn Marina for this trip. The water was a gorgeous dark blue with a light blue sky meeting it on the horizon. But then the white water waves began to rise along with ripples that seemed to be getting bigger and bigger everytime they hit the side of the boat. You could see a dozen people begin to head for the cabins even on this beautiful 65 degree day. The die hards like myself and my friend stayed next to the rail waiting for the whales to begin jumping out of the water and diving back in. The rocking of the boat did not bother me in fact I had a nice relaxing sleep that night being exposed to the salt water and air all day.
