While vacationing at a friend's house in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, I decided to take a walk into the forest as it was autumn at the time I was there and all of the leaves were turning various colors and I wanted to see I could find some interesting things to photograph. Previously I had taken a walk down by the various streams but now I wanted to get deep into the forest. As I was walking along and taking various photos I came upon this view to my left. It looked like a big autumn archway with all of autumn's colors thrown on the ground and connected to the trees that were basically bare. I looked how the arch was formed by the connecting trees on each side of the path and the various colors all over. I immediately took several photos and decided to follow this path deeper into the forest.

I love this jumble of leaves and intertwining saplings. The layers of color are fascinating, especially that blue/purple in the lower center. l/f/tw/p
