FAA WATERCOLOR MARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While taking a friend out into the ocean in a whale touring boat for her birthday, I brought my camera along to hopefully capture a whale breeching the ocean and jumping through the air. I knew if a whale made a jump I had to be in the right spot at the right time. Just as I was standing along the rail on this beautiful day with a gorgeous blue sky, the captain signaled a whale to the stern of the boat, I quickly got in position and was only able to capture this huge whale crashing down in the ocean, but due to his size his tail was still very visible even through all of the white water that the whale had churned up during his crash back into the water. It was very exciting and I was happy to be able to capture this action scene. Next trip is going to be off the coast of Montauk where whales frequently come in pairs and they are large Humpback Whales like this one in this photo was.
