Recently I decided to take a ride with my daughter to increase my portfolio. I already had in my mind some things I wanted to photograph and since this winter weather on Long Island has been so mild I decided on this nice 55 degree day to venture out to Queens, New York where I was born, not to far from where I live now on Long Island. I wanted to go to the old Worlds Fair grounds in Queens, NY where the Worlds Fair was held in the 1964. A lot of the landmarks that have been now deemed historical landmark are still there and in great shape since they have been fixed up recently. My first stop was the historical World's Fair Sphere which stands in the entrance way to where the Worlds Fair was held. It is beautiful to see from a distance and remarkable piece of architecture from up close and from far away. I was lucky enough to have a fantastic clear blue sky to work with that day and when I got out of my car and saw this site I took out my camera and began to take various photos from different angles.

Wow, what a NY landmark this 1964 World's Fair Unisphere was. As a 14 year old growing up in Brooklyn, I remember getting on the trains to Queens with Junior High School friends to visit the World's Fair grounds on many occasions.
