While spending a gorgeous afternoon on a very mild 68 degree day at Long Beach in January 2020 I decided after several hours it was time to leave. As I was getting ready to leave I turned and saw several children taking photos of themselves with their phones. They were laughing and having a great time standing on the jetty that extended out into the Atlantic Ocean. As the sun was setting the jetty and the people on it became a beautiful silhouette image so I took my camera out of it's case for one last photo. As I lined up the people photographing themselves and having fun I was also able to capture the sun's rays reflecting on the Atlantic Ocean and sparkling in the ocean and glistening on the sand. The whole photo came out so well with all the extras added in, it made stopping for that one last shot well worth it.
